Message for 3 years now. I have 19 inch wheels, not the greatest suspension, and I don't even have a bend in any rim. Driving in Manhattan is not exactly for the faint of heart, especially during rush hour or in constantly congested areas such as Times Square. All the whining about the roads and blah blah blah, sounds just like my girlfriend talking about getting to a salon. However, this group wasn't led by a bunch or tourists/out of towners who need MapQuest to get around. Myself and NYCZ31 are very familiar with Manhattan, therefore led the crew accordingly as to avoid potential damage from unfriendly roads. At least you drive a SUV here, but keep in mind the hundreds of exotic vehicles that are daily drivers for many of Manhattans residents. In my experience, broken wheels from potholes come from the wheel itself being cheap (not forged). My wheels have survived many dips on poor roads, construction sites, etc. I have yet to meet a crater pothole in my Z, but I'm careful enough to deal with it when I encounter it.

If you (in general) can't handle it, stay out. NYZC can hold it down. All these posts make it seem as if we're asking to hold ZCON in the middle of 45th and Broadway.
